Warmest Gamblin black. Good glazing color and
useful for adding "gallery tone." This is a lightfast version
of a fugitive 18th century color. The original Van Dyke Brown
was commonly used by 18th and 19th century painters to make
oil paintings look like they were made by an "old master."
